Use of testosterone enanthate has been shown to significantly increase strength within 6-12 weeks of administration (2, 9), however, it is unclear if the ergogenic benefits are evident in less than 6 weeks. Testosterone enanthate is classified as a prohibited substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and its use may be detected by way of the urinary testosterone/epitestosterone (T/E) ratio (16). The two objectives of this study were to establish (a) if injection of (-1) testosterone enanthate once per week could increase muscular strength and cycle sprint performance in 3-6 weeks; and (b) if the WADA-imposed urinary T/E ratio of 4:1 could identify all subjects being administered (-1) testosterone enanthate. Sixteen healthy young men were match-paired and were assigned randomly in a double-blind manner to either a testosterone enanthate or a placebo group. All subjects performed a structured heavy resistance training program while receiving either testosterone enanthate ( (-1)) or saline injections once weekly for 6 weeks. One repetition maximum (1RM) strength measures and 10-second cycle sprint performance were monitored at the pre (week 0), mid (week 3), and post (week 6) time points. Body mass and the urinary T/E ratio were measured at the pre (week 0) and post (week 6) time points. When compared with baseline (pre), 1RM bench press strength and total work during the cycle sprint increased significantly at week 3 (p < ) and week 6 (p < ) in the testosterone enanthate group, but not in the placebo group. Body mass at week 6 was significantly greater than at baseline in the testosterone enanthate group (p < ), but not in the placebo group. Despite the clear ergogenic effects of testosterone enanthate in as little as 3 weeks, 4 of the 9 subjects in the testosterone enanthate group ( approximately 44%) did not test positive to testosterone under current WADA urinary T/E ratio criteria.

Their fight briefly resumed on the platform, with Ventress joining her twin lightsabers to form a saberstaff. Kenobi leapt out the window, retreating to an external rampart. Out on the rampart, they both suddenly sensed Skywalker's absence, he having escaped into hyperspace with Tano and Rotta. Enraged at her failure, Ventress attacked. Kenobi gave ground, holding off Ventress' whirling, double-ended weapon. Cutting Ventress' saberstaff in two with a swift overhand, Kenobi fended off her counter, jamming her twin blades into the rampart ledge. Taunting her, Kenobi then forced both of her blades vertical before hooking one out of her grip and off the rampart, at this point Ventress called for a Vulture droid to provide an escape. Kenobi easily held off her following attack, shoving her back. Raising his own blade to guard, he called for her surrender. Ventress instead leapt off the rampart, landing on the Vulture droid she had signalled earlier. Kenobi rejoined the clones outside, deflecting blaster volleys as he took cover. Kenobi quickly led the clones to victory, the droids easily beaten without Ventress' command. Rotta was successfully returned to Jabba, and the Republic gained his favor. [5]

All these features make the AMD Vega cards feel incredibly practical versus the excess and overclocking shenanigans of Nvidia. It’s as if AMD is trying to say “if you want nose bleed speed go with Nvidia, but if you want control and a nice experience join us.” That’s a reasonable sale to an old woman such as myself. I play my games on 4K TVs that have no syncing technology (though Microsoft suggests that could change next year) and can only show between 60 and 120 frames a second. I don’t need dual video cards or crazy numbers, I need good enough. And the AMD Vega 64 and AMD Vega 56 are good enough. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced card the AMD Vega 56 is a fantastic choice. But these cards aren’t enough to lure Nvidia loyalists or the power hungry away. As the latest salvo in the war between Nvidia and AMD goes, the new Vega cards are pretty weak.
